Agropur is currently seeking a Senior Director of Manufacturing 

 

Position Summary:

Develop, maintain and direct the operational, engineering and Quality Assurance functions (manufacturing) efficiently and profitably, while producing safe, quality products in a timely manner to meet customer expectations.

 

Main Duties:

  • Assure the development and execution of manufacturing programs and schedules to produce products in a timely manner while supporting the company's financial goals.
  • Responsible for cost control, waste reduction, food safety, quality, safety and on-time delivery
  • Recommend and implement strategic changes in the operations, engineering and innovation functions
  • Assure the development and implementation of the capital plan for manufacturing required for new product development & production, process improvement, and expansion of production facilities.
  • Primary oversight and responsibility for the engineering department to ensure equipment and facility needs are adequate to support the efforts of Sales, Quality Assurance and Operations.
  • Build, develop and manage operations, engineering and Quality Assurance leadership teams capable of carrying out needed business strategies and improving employee relations.
  • Work closely and communicate cross-functionally with management team to design and execute agreed upon strategies.
  • Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and excellent cross-functional teamwork and execution.
  • Establish & maintain manufacturing policies & best practices such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, SQF, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal and customer audits and/or regulations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations, engineering or related discipline required. MBA preferred.
  • Aseptic Manufacturing experience (beverages), along with a minimum of 8 years overall Operations/Manufacturing Management and leadership experience preferred.
  • Fluid Dairy experience is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Solid computer experience including use of MS Office products.
  • Strong project management skills a plus.

Demonstrated experience with plant automation and plant-integrated ERP systems
