Agropur is currently looking for a Human Capital Coordinator.

Job Summary: The Human Capital Coordinator assists with payroll, benefit, recruitment, training, employee relations and special projects. Conduct reference checks and new hire orientations. Maintain personnel and department files. Prepare and update department reports. Provide backup assistance to the Human Capital Business Partner. Understand and complete job responsibilities in accordance with federal and state compliance regulations and laws.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with payroll processing, which includes but is not limited to:
    1. Enter PTO adjustments and punch adjustments.
    2. Sort and distribute biweekly paychecks.
  • Coordinate hourly recruitment, which includes but is not limited to:
    1. Obtain a job requisition for all open position and ensure we have proper approvals/justifications.
    2. Post open positions internally and externally.
    3. Prescreen applications and resumes.
    4. Phone screen qualified candidates.
    5. Maintain applicant-tracking database for each candidate and position.
    6. Coordinate interviews with the Supervisors/Managers.
    7. Create offer letter(s)
    8. Extend job offers to candidates
    9. Conduct background checks
    10. Schedule pre-employment screenings (DOT/Non-DOT Drug test, Audio, and Functional Capacity Exam (FCE)).
    11. Coordinate start date and new hire orientation paperwork
    12. Conduct new hire orientation
    13. Close out job(s) in applicant-tracking system and send rejection letters to candidate(s)
  • Enter employee information into HRIS systems by sending Payroll Action Forms to the business office.
  • Assist in reviewing and distributing information to inform employees regarding benefits and training programs including: unemployment compensation, insurance, leave time (FMLA), retirement plans, cafeteria plan benefits, continuation of benefits (COBRA), Leadership training and the Random Drug Testing program.
  • Responsible for coordinating leaves of absence with appropriate laws such as FMLA, work comp and ADA.
  • Responsible for worker's compensation follow up with Safety Coordinator regarding injury return to work dates.
  • Create and maintain personnel records for current and terminated employees. Track absences for employees and follow up with Supervisors/Managers.
  • Assist in general human capital functions by preparing and/or updating a variety of legally required and other records, reports, and documentation: COBRA, I-9s, EEO-1, etc.
  • Keep employee information up-to-date utilizing a Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Researches and performs work on special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain employee anniversary and employee recognition programs.
  • Serve on committees as needed.
  • Understanding of and compliance with all Quality Assurance policies, and immediate reporting of any potential food safety issues to management.Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Update knowledge and develops professionally on a continuing basis.

  • Associate's Degree in Human Resources or other related field combined with a minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience preferred. Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
