Agropur is currently looking for a IT Support Technician.


Job Summary:

Provide technical support for and meet company needs, including PC hardware, printers and other devices; wireless and wide-area networking; software applications including windows operating systems, Apple, shared file systems, Microsoft Office applications, email, and others.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and close incidents within Service-Now and escalate unresolved tickets to level two or higher for rapid incident resolution. All the while, providing excellent customer service to the business.
  • Provide support by voice calls, generated incidents within service-now or personal interaction.
  • Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of hardware issues. Including but not limited to:
    • Desktops
    • Laptops
    • Mobile devices
    • IP Phones
    • Printers and Scanners
    • Other
  • Install approved hardware peripherals and applications for users that do not have administrative rights on their PC, Laptop, Server or other device.
  • Provide approved users access to in-house applications and third party biased on the provided documentation of the IT Development group and (or) Contractor.
  • Communicate on a timely basis with supervision, management &/or users regarding issues, failures, upgrades or replacements to ensure user understanding and planning.
  • Create and maintain end-user and IT documentation within the IT SharePoint site. Provide technical guidance and training to the end-users. Answer questions on the use of technology and was to be more efficient with it.
  • Work with and follow the direction of other team members within Agropur IT on projects and troubleshooting issues.
  • Occasional travel to remote offices or plants to assist with projects.


Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Balance local support requests with company initiatives and goals.
  • Be a part of a weekly "On-Call" rotation providing 24/7 support to all of Agropur.
  • Able to keep a positive attitude when faced with frustrating situations in customer service.



  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, or certifications from a technical institute; A+ and/or MCP certifications desired, or related experience. 
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft client operating systems.
  • Basic experience with 2008/2012R2 server environments.
  • Basic IP networking concepts.
