Agropur is looking for a Project Engineer.

 

Job Summary:

Responsible for development, implementation and follow-up of engineering projects.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical and financial follow-up of all assigned projects.
  • Coordinate implementation, write technical specifications, prepare plans and quotes, and allocate contracts for capital expenditure projects.
  • Coordinate the work of both internal and external resources for capital expenditure projects.
  • Communicate and negotiate effectively with internal and external resources on all aspects of the project.
  • Responsible to minimize disruption and plan effectively with existing operations departments to be affected by project work.
  • Must ensure the quality of work performed by internal or external resources on the project meets expectations and ensures the integrity of our food safety and quality plans and pre-requisite programs.
  • Proactively develop and implement new procedures and policies to maximize the efficiencies and safety of equipment installed and systems in use.  Maintain all plant drawings and equipment specifications.
  • Enforce the company's current policies and procedures and the occupational health and safety program.
  • Strive to improve the productivity, quality and profitability of systems, processes and equipment.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline preferred. Minimally a Technical College degree in Food Science Technology, Engineering, Automation or related discipline required.
  • Minimum of 5 plus years' experience in project management and engineering is required.
  • Dairy or food industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of computer software, computerized maintenance systems, and utilizing ERP systems for issuing purchase requests. Knowledge of Rockwell Automation Software a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership skills and the ability to work in a team.
  • Computer literacy, ideally with MS Office (Word and Excel), MS Access and MS Project.
