Agropur is looking for an Inventory Control Specialist.

 

Job Summary:

Records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produced. Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.  Purchase necessary ingredients and supplies to produce and secure finished goods.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Keep records of all outgoing shipments.
  • Record items taken from inventory and note when orders were filled.
  • Prepare invoices and furnish information about shipments to other parts of the company, such as the accounting department.
  • Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
  • Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
  • Compute amounts, such as space available, and shipping, storage, and demurrage charges, using calculator or price list.
  • Follow all safe workplace practices.
  • Follow all GMP and SOP's
  • Match bills of lading to paper work, container numbers, and seal trucks.
  • Ensures adequate inventory of materials and customer products in accord with inventory cycles.
  • Conducts inventory analysis to solve inventory issues.
  • Develops and implements inventory control procedures.
  • Coordinates and manages daily physical cycle counts.
  • Coordinates the flow of materials from one site to another through the inputs from Planning and Scheduling.
  • Configures warehouse spaces as dictated by forecast of inbound materials, customer and production needs.
  • Implement and maintain the system within the warehouse to track inventory level and flow between sites.
  • Prepares and provides production with inventory and materials necessary to complete jobs per Planning and Scheduling.
  • Follows all mandated security procedures and process requirements.
  • Assists with other miscellaneous material handling/inventory tasks and/or projects (i.e. pulling orders with forklift)
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Able to properly document information legibly.
  • Understand and obey all Good Manufacturing Practices

  • Need excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Ability to work on short deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years' experience with technology systems and hardware
  • 0 - 2 years' work experience in inventory control or related area.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
