Essential Functions include the following:

  • Prepare, stage, load and unload trucks and railcars safely and accurately
  • Stack and unstack cases of product if damaged
  • Scan product before loading
  • Taking temperatures
  • Conduction trailer inspections, and sealing the trucks.
  • Keep work area clean by sweeping, picking up pallets and general clean
  • Follow all safe workplace practices.
  • Follow all GMP and SOP's
  • Match bills of lading to paper work, container numbers, and seal trucks.
  • Understanding of and compliance with all Quality Assurance policies, and immediate reporting of any potential food safety issues to management.

 

Secondary Functions include the following:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

              

Technical Competencies:

 

  • Ability to pay strong attention to detail and multitask effectively.
  • Able to properly document information legibly.
  • Understand and obey all Good Manufacturing Practice.

Qualifications:

  • Experience operating a forklift a plus.
  • Slip Sheet Unit/ Powerlift Jack operation a plus.

  

Non-technical Competencies:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Requires the ability to communicate and document work.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good to excellent spelling, grammar and communication skills.

Work Conditions:

 

  • Track and maintain information on a database.
  • Be able to move up to 65 pounds. (empty pallet)
  • Able to move above about work stations in a warehouse environment most of the shift.
  • Ability to wear safety glasses on occasion.
  • Be able to work at floor level, waist level, and shoulder level repetitively.
  • Be able to work the shift assigned and fill in other shifts as needed.
  • Be able to work weekends (including Saturday and Sunday) and off shifts if needed or assigned.
