Agropur is looking for a Human Capital Communications Specialist.


Job Summary:

The Human Capital Communications Specialist provides a broad range of support to all levels of the organization, primarily in the area of communications support, and for a variety of Human Capital processes and projects, including but not limited to: planning, training, performance management, employee relations, and compensation. This position can successfully navigate Human Capital systems and communications platforms to perform tactical planning and to apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues and answer questions.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Single-point owner of internal communications across the US business by leading communication initiatives, including communication plan development for high-impact company strategies; writing/approving content and announcements.
  • Coordinate all US announcements and share content on internal platforms
  • Collaborate with corporate communications, as needed, on communication practice, process and programs.
  • Facilitate practices associated with company newsletter, Intranet, digital bulletin boards, website, social media, etc., to connect employees on business company-wide messaging and events.
  • Participate in the development of corporate branding initiatives for the US business and provide US perspective on global messaging.
  • Provide support to the US Operations management team on communication-related activities.
  • Ensure adherence to Agropur communications, standards and processes.
  • Act as a liaison between the organizations and Human Capital management to address inquiries/issues in all Human Capital functions.
  • Communicate Human Capital policies and procedures to managers and associates.
  • Provide support and information to all levels and audience sizes within the organization through effective written, phone, and in-person communication skills.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, as necessary, including various Human Capital metrics.


Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Human Capital and other departments, as needed.
  • Assist in the continuous development and improvement of Human Capital information and processes.
  • Assist with planning of events and bring fresh ideas to the table for meetings.
  • Safety Protocol
    • Stop any observed unsafe acts, and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
    • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
    • Support safety policies and programs.

 Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

 Experience Required:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience required.  Experience in Communications or Human Resources required.
  • Desktop Publishing required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

 Certification/Licensure Required:

  • None

 Skills Required:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, HRIS systems, and Outlook.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive, confidential situations and documentation.
  • Knowledge of office administration procedures and ability to operate most standard office equipment.
  • Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Good to excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.
  • Independent thinking and problem-solving.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
