Agropur is currently looking for a Regulatory Specialist 1.


Job Summary:

Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory and quality programs for day to day operation of department and operation, knowledge or involvement.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Approve Raw material for use.
  • Responsible to ensure the allergen program is maintained.
  • Assist with plant, customer and third party audits as needed.
  • Assists with mock recalls with the Recall Team semi-annually. 
  • Write or update Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
  • Label comparison and release
  • Vendor Approval documentation and testing set-up.
  • Expired product testing program.
  • Out of spec investigation.
  • Dietary ingredient identity program management.
  • Environmental swabbing.
  • Maintain the Halal program.
  • CAPA investigations and implementations.
  • Batch record review.
  • Assist in annual training.
  • Acts as a backup to some of the functions of the Regulatory Specialist II .
  • Responsible for food safety and food quality.
  • Updates knowledge and develops professionally on a continuing basis.
  • Other job related duties may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.


Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Windows, MS Office Suite including; Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, internet/intranet and other organizational specific software.
  • Experience using office equipment including printer, 10-key calculator, fax/copy machine, multiline/voicemail telephone system and others as needed. 
  • Reasoning skills:  follow written, verbal and/or diagrammatic instructions; solve practical problems; interpret verbal and written instructions; scientific thinking to solve problems including abstract and concrete variables; address practical problems; comprehend most complex concepts. 
  • Math skills:  basic math plus fractions, decimals, percentages, algebraic calculations, and statistical inference. 
  • Language skills:  exchange basic informational data (fill out forms/checklists, make own appointments, etc.); interview to gather information; advise others on alternatives/options; read, understand and explain technical data; compose routine business correspondence. 



  • Prefer Bachelor of Science degree in biology, chemistry, or related science field, or equivalent experience
  • Three to five years Regulatory or Quality experience
  • Effective problem solving skills and working knowledge of quality standards.
