Agropur is currently looking for a Contract Process Manager.

The Contract Process Manager is responsible for daily operation of production and packaging activities within the Custom Processing Department. The Contract Process Manager will engage with employees to assist and direct all work methods and procedures. The Contract Process Manager will ensure the production of quality products, always staying in compliance with GMP's and safe work practices concerning employees, processes and procedures.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises 24/7/365 operation of workers and equipment in the production of high quality/ high value custom products, while applying learned knowledge of processes involved and production methods.
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in powder manufacturing handled at the highest level of quality.
  • Communicate on a daily basis with customers.
  • Coordinate Production schedule with Contract Customers and Director of Contract Manufacturing.
  • Source and Purchase ingredients specific for each customer. Coordinate receipt schedule for incoming materials with customers and suppliers.
  • Report production quantities, results, mass balances and customer specific reports to Customers on a monthly basis.
  • Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve quality and efficiency of the department.
  • Analyze lab data and react accordingly data trending.   
  • Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines.
  • Carry out duties as requested by Plant Manager and Whey Manager.
  • Good mechanical skills with ability to communicate and work with maintenance department so that all equipment is maintained at the highest level to reduce unnecessary down time.
  • Ensures all areas of responsibility are following company standard GMP's in their daily production runs.
  • Able to complete and/or assist in the duties of all jobs related to production when circumstances demand.
  • Manage reporting of yields, solids recovery and maximize opportunities.
  • Will perform performance reviews of employees.
  • Understand and obey all Good Manufacturing Practice.
  • Drive training and coaching to ensure compliance with Safety standards and incident prevention.
  • Working knowledge of department QA SOPs and other.
  • Trains employees in work methods and procedures.
  • Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines.
  • Address any human resource needs, relating to those being supervised, (in a timely manner) ensuring proper documentation and communication with necessary parties and HR department.

 

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in a science related field or a minimum of 3+ years' experience in a food production plant.
  • Previous supervisory experience a plus.
  • Completion of related college courses a plus.
